Why Were the Anabaptists Not Chosen by Jesus in 1919?
by berrygerry inwt acknowledges their lack of neutrality during ww1, and previously stated that this was followed by a period of refining.
however, they were still the one group that far-and-away were the only ones that were practicing first-century christianity the most closely, as well as being the only group trying to do so.. interesting read about the hutterites ( http://www.ubcpress.ca/books/pdf/chapters/courtsandcolonies/chapterone.pdf ).
, especially this quote about ww1:.

Life Centered Around Jehovah So The Narcasist Don't Beat Your Ass(Watchtower Corporation's Incentives)
by Brokeback Watchtower inbasically when you think of it that is how the corporation operates as a mind control cult feeding gullible people propaganda.. oh and this corporation's "jehovah" is a god of love malarkey,, when he finally kills you because you didn't listen, obey and thus forfeited your chance at a blessing corporation style which amounts to 2 shits and a turd.. this jehovah guy truly is a corporation's mirage.
he has the personality of a spoiled male adolesance when he don't get his way and is always ready to pass the blame on to others when it comes to acts own acts of violence..

Is a Narcasist someone who helps a junkie get loaded?

Jehovah Witnesses View on medical marijuana?
by Slade1224 ini was wondering what the view jehovah witnesses and the bible and tract society had on medical cannabis?
i remember as a kid reading in the reasoning book that marijuana was bad and smoking it caused cancer and was worse then cigarettes.
as more reach comes out we are leaning marijuana can cure certain forms of cancer!

How much BLOOD does your weed have in it? Was it fertilized with BLOOD?
If the answers to these questions are "NONE" and "NO" _AND_ it is a prescribed "medication," _AND_ it is not being smoked, then I *think* the WTB&TS would have nothing to say.
The Watchtower is anti-smoking and anti-recreational substances that are not prescribed, regardless of the "naturalness" of the substance.
The WTB&TS has no problem with homeopathy, by the way, because it is based on a dilute extract of baloney and bullshit.

A polite way to ask someone to keep their hands to themselves...
by White Dove inwhat's a polite way to ask a man to keep his hands to himself while conversing in a group with you?.
this neighbor of mine and i were sitting in chairs on the deck with other people.. he always touched me whenever he said anything to me or i said anything to him.. it was as if he was using touch like an antenna to send and receive signals.. i didn't know what to do, so instead of risking embarrassment for us both, i did nothing but stand up and step away.. i stepped away after he attempted to caress my hamstrings on one leg.. *shudder*.
wonder why 60+ year old men think that a woman being nice to him means she's hot for him.. also wonders why it's only the smoking, beer guzzling, scrawny, bony, and smelly old men who do that.. .

Take his hand gently and with a swift, smooth motion bend his pinkie finger back until the fingernail touches his wrist. Then whisper, "one down, nine to go."

Vienne,
I was wondering if you and Bruce were familiar with Tim White's "A People for His Name" and if so, are you willing to share your opinion of it or critique it?
Do you or Bruce have any opinions about other "modern" JW histories since "30 Years a Watchtower Slave" by Schnell?
Have you ever read "The Desolation of the Sanctuary" by the Sadlack brothers (Emil & Otto) in Germany, first published in English around 1930?
Just wondering...
Thanks!

Cirencester Congregation UK: My story
by erbie indear all,.
i have been a member here for some years although mostly in the background.
many of you have bravely shared your own experiences and i am very grateful for that but i have never been open about my own experience.. nevertheless, i would be very grateful to those of you who would now take the time to read about my own personal journey from the jw religion and the circumstances that caused me to abandon that way of life and how i landed up where i am.
